So i bought a JDM motor. Completed the sell on 19 Jan. I get the tracking number. It says it'll be at my door on 26jan. Well here it is 5 Feb, the motor has been held in Canadian customs, then US customs. I talked to the shipping company about it. They say its been released and will be picked up the next day and should be here by Friday (today). No luck so i called them back. Now they say there is 1000 dollars owed in custom's and storage fee's. At this point I'm like what ever. A little irritated. I call the seller and tell him all about it. He says " ok i'll call my customs broker. " My question is, does this happen very often and how much long till i get my motor. Is there any one on here that could enlighten me on the situation. Take in mind the motor has been inspected twice. Does this mean that i'm going to get a box of parts in place of a motor. Any input appreciated.
